Parma Ri-vestiti returns to sell by the kilo
On Saturday 5th April, from 11am to 6pm , Lostello, in the Parco della Cittadella, will host the social and sustainable sale by the kilo of preloved clothes and accessories from the Progetto Parma Ri-vestiti. It is a unique opportunity to buy quality clothes at affordable prices, while contributing to a social and environmental cause.
A project of great impact
Parma Ri-vestiti is an initiative involving the Municipality of Parma and Coop Emc2 onlus, in collaboration with the Fiorente cooperative. We have already talked about it here . The aim is to give new life to used clothes, reducing the quantity of garments destined for landfill . Thanks to home collection carried out with bicycles and electric cargo vans, between one and two tons of clothes are collected every month, which are then resold at second-hand markets or at the Cittadella park. In 2023 alone, the initiative recovered almost 8 tons of clothes that would otherwise have ended up in unsorted waste.
An important social dimension
In addition to the environmental benefit, the project also has an important social impact. Emc2 has in fact as its objective the job placement of disadvantaged people who, within the Ri-vestiti initiative, follow the process of recycling, washing and retouching the clothes that, once ready, are put back into circulation and reused.
Join us too!
Come to Lostello on Saturday 5th to discover the beauty of sustainable fashion. By purchasing preloved clothes, you will not only contribute to reducing waste, but you will also support a project that promotes social inclusion and environmental sustainability. We are waiting for you!
